Scotland's newly-amended Transport Bill, which will see legislative change on Low Emission Zones and powers passed to councils to introduce workplace parking charges, was met with fierce opposition by Scottish Conservative MSP's.
Aberdeenshire West MSP, Alex Burnett, branded the new policies "taxation without representation", whilst the SNP/Green alliance, which gave the amendments their majority in Holyrood, boasts the changes to the Transport Bill as significant steps towards achieving Scotland's emission reduction goals, which aim to see the country emitting 25% of 1990 levels by next year.
